The situation is similar in the United Kingdom, where prices have risen from an original launch point of £79.99 to £129.99—a hike of roughly 35%. According to information from 9to5Google, these adjustments, which began appearing in August, are also affecting the Eurozone significantly. European customers are seeing the cost of the Bridge Pro rise from €99 to €149, marking a cumulative increase of 51% since the device's initial release.
Beyond the hub, other products have also seen price adjustments. As noted by the Hue Blog, multi-packs of Hue Essential lamps and spotlights have climbed from €59.99 to €69.99. While these increases are less aggressive than those applied to the Bridge Pro, they still represent an unwelcome trend for consumers.

'Bridgeless Sync' Brings New Efficiency
Despite the negative news regarding hardware costs, there is a technical development that may soften the blow. Philips Hue has released a software update that introduces 'Bridgeless Sync' for the Hue Play Screen Sync TV camera and the Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 4K.
“This update allows devices to communicate directly with a single Hue light via Bluetooth, bypassing the need for a dedicated Bridge or Bridge Pro hub.”
This functionality simplifies the setup process by eliminating several configuration steps. Furthermore, the new camera-based Screen Sync system is now compatible with any television source, effectively removing the requirement for a separate HDMI Sync Box.
