Honor has globally unveiled its Magic V6 foldable smartphone at MWC 2026 in Barcelona, marking a strategic shift for the company. This launch, held outside China for the first time, signals the device's heightened importance as competition intensifies with Apple's rumored entry into the foldable market.
The Magic V6 is promoted as more durable yet slim, featuring an industry-leading hinge rated for 500,000 folds and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. Its display claims an 'imperceptible crease' and extreme brightness up to 6,000 nits.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, it is the first foldable with this processor. The camera system includes a 64MP periscope zoom sensor and dual 50MP sensors. AI features are central, with enhanced multitasking, an AI Meeting Agent, and photography improvements.
Despite its flagship status, the Magic V6 will not be officially sold in North America. Potential buyers must import it from other markets where it launches in the second half of 2026. The phone also offers surprising integration with Apple's ecosystem, including Mac, AirPods, and notification sharing.
