After several months since its initial announcement, the release date and pricing for the Motorola Razr have finally been revealed.
Canadians can purchase the Motorola Razr Fold directly from Motorola for C$2,699.99 starting May 21. The device is offered in two finishes: Pantone Blackened Blue with a vegan-leather matte texture, and Pantone Lily White with a smooth, sleek surface. Additional availability through select carriers is scheduled for June 12.
This model adopts a book-style foldable design, moving away from the traditional clamshell form of previous Razr devices. When opened, the display expands from 6.6 inches to 8.1 inches, giving it a nearly square shape. At its price point, it competes with other high-end foldables such as the Samsung Galaxy Z and Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a 32-megapixel external front camera, and a 20-megapixel internal front camera. Video recording supports up to 4K at 60 fps or 8K at 30 fps.
Under the hood, the Motorola Razr Fold runs Android 16, features 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory with RAM Boost, and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. It houses a 6000 mAh battery with 80W TurboPower charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging. The device also includes Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, Sound by Bose tuning, and three separate microphones.
The Motorola Razr Fold will be available for C$2,699.99 starting May 21 on the Motorola website, with carrier availability beginning June 12.
