Motorola officially unveiled the full specifications of its first book-style foldable, the Razr Fold, at MWC 2026. After a hands-on comparison with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, the device shows strong potential in the competitive market.
The Razr Fold commits to a modern software policy, promising seven years of Android OS and security updates. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and offers up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, matching Samsung's flagship in key areas.
A major advantage is its massive 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, significantly larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 7's 4,400mAh unit, paired with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device also features an 8.1-inch primary display and a 165Hz refresh rate on the 6.6-inch outer screen.
While the Razr Fold is heavier and thicker than Samsung's model, its design features premium materials and a stable camera bump. Motorola's focus on longevity, battery life, and a polished experience makes the Razr Fold a compelling alternative in the U.S. foldable market.
