Official Launch Details

TEAM HORAY, the South Korean development team known for the fan-favorite title Dungreed, has officially announced that their action roguelite project, Sephiria, is set to exit Early Access. The game will see a full 1.0 release on Steam on July 31, introducing the highly anticipated sixth and final chapter alongside a variety of fresh content updates.

A Proven Success Story

The title has garnered significant attention due to the developer's strong reputation and the game's stellar player reception. Following over 12 months in the Early Access program, Sephiria has successfully secured an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam, marking it as one of the standout success stories of the year within the platform's development ecosystem.

Core Gameplay Mechanics

The narrative premise centers on the "Day of Destiny," where a sudden demonic invasion threatens the peaceful settlement of Bunnyville. Players take control of a courageous bunny equipped with an oversized weapon to combat the forces of evil. The core loop involves descending a perilous, cursed tower, gathering and enhancing powerful Artifacts, and battling through waves of enemies to confront the ultimate threat lurking at the base.

Strategic Customization and Arsenal

What helps Sephiria stand out in the crowded roguelite market is its deep inventory management system. According to the developers, the mechanics emphasize player choice:

«You collect Artifacts and arrange them, then empower them with Tablets, building a loadout that bends the run to your playstyle rather than the other way around.»

The game offers:

  • Six unique weapon categories, each featuring over 50 distinct upgrades.
  • A campaign spanning six detailed chapters.
  • Over 60 varieties of enemies and more than 10 challenging boss encounters.

Cooperative Exploration

Players have the option to tackle the tower alone or engage in online co-op with up to three friends. This multiplayer component adds a layer of depth to the experience, allowing groups to trade resources, assist fallen allies, and celebrate victories together, significantly increasing the game's long-term replayability.
