While these speakers maintain the brand's trademark vintage aesthetic, featuring PU leather-wrapped 100 percent wood cabinets, they introduce significant functional refinements.
The updated hardware includes a redesigned media jog dial and power switch. Perhaps the most notable addition is the inclusion of customizable “M-buttons.” These controls allow listeners to configure quick access to specific features, such as Spotify Tap integration or instant loading of preferred equalizer presets.

Marshall has prioritized audio quality in the new series by upgrading the tweeters and incorporating refined waveguides—the funnel-shaped structures surrounding the drivers. While the Stanmore IV remains the more powerful option designed for larger spaces, the more compact Acton IV continues to be the ideal choice for smaller rooms like bedrooms. The new speakers offer versatile connection options, including RCA inputs for turntable enthusiasts and a 3.5mm AUX jack located on the top panel for wired device compatibility. Furthermore, both models support Auracast technology, enabling synchronized playback across multiple units.
For those looking to integrate older hardware, Marshall offers its Heddon streaming hub. As the company notes, "Heddon provides a seamless solution for connecting multiple legacy Marshall speakers into a unified sound system." While the hub is sold individually for $300, it is available as a complimentary bonus when purchasing two or more eligible speakers directly from Marshall.
