Unmatched Power and Design

JBL has officially introduced its most formidable and premium speaker to date: the PartyBox Ultimate 2. Priced at $1,800, this behemoth boasts an impressive 1,500 watts of power, significantly outperforming the previous 800-watt PartyBox 720 model. Designed for serious events, the device is substantial, measuring 41.4 inches (1.05 meters) in height and weighing a hefty 120 pounds (54.4 kg). To assist with mobility, the unit is equipped with integrated wheels and a handle.

Superior Audio Engineering

The speaker architecture is designed for high-fidelity performance, featuring:

  • Dual pro-grade PEN tweeters for precise high frequencies.
  • Dual five-inch mid-range drivers to ensure vocal clarity.
  • Dual 10-inch woofers tuned for deep, powerful bass.

To ensure consistent quality, the speaker incorporates an AI Sound Boost feature, which, according to the manufacturer, provides

"detail and clarity with low distortion at every volume."

Advanced Visuals and Controls

Beyond audio, the PartyBox Ultimate 2 acts as a visual centerpiece. It features an array of lighting enhancements, including ripple-wave effects across the front panel, multi-layered depth effects, and floor projection to cast visuals throughout the venue. Users can manage these settings and audio playback via the unit’s new touch-sensitive top panel, a first for the JBL PartyBox series.

Connectivity and Availability

The device is built for modern integration, supporting Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE audio, and Auracast. It also offers wide compatibility with AirPlay, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect. For professional and social use, it includes:

  • Optical input for TV karaoke.
  • XLR line-in for DJ hardware.
  • Lossless USB-C audio playback.
  • EasySing AI Vocal Removal for karaoke enthusiasts.

The speaker is also rated IPX4, making it resistant to splashes. The JBL PartyBox Ultimate 2 is currently available for pre-order at $1,800, with shipments scheduled to commence on October 25, 2026. While shipping is included, potential buyers should note the significant weight and associated return logistics.
