Google's March Pixel Drop Brings AI Features, At a Glance Updates, and Express Pay

Google has detailed its March Pixel Drop, a significant software update bringing new features to Pixel phones and watches. The update focuses on enhancing AI capabilities, home screen information widgets, and contactless payments.

For Pixel phones, Circle to Search is gaining "Find the Look" for fashion searches and an integrated "Try On" feature. The At a Glance widget is expanding with new alerts for your commute, real-time sports scores, and Google Finance data. AI-generated custom icon packs and a SpongeBob SquarePants theme are also arriving for Pixel 6 and newer models.

The Pixel Watch receives several safety and convenience updates. Express Pay allows for automatic wallet activation when tapping to pay. New safety features include Earthquake alerts, faster identity checks with your phone, and expanded Satellite SOS regions. One-handed gestures are coming to the Pixel Watch 3, and the Find Hub feature helps locate misplaced devices.

These updates, including Gemini's task assistance and restaurant recommendations via Magic Cue, will roll out throughout March for supported Pixel devices.
