Amazon has launched a new feature for Alexa+ that lets users customize their assistant's personality. If you find typical AI voices too cheerful or patronizing, you can now choose from three distinct styles: Brief, Chill, and Sweet.
The Brief personality provides concise, direct answers without small talk. The Chill style offers a relaxed, conversational tone, while Sweet delivers enthusiastic and warm responses. You can hear the difference by asking a simple question like "How's it going?"
These personalities are built using five dimensions: expressiveness, emotional openness, formality, directness, and humor. To change the style, simply tell your Echo device, "Alexa, change your personality style," or adjust it in the Alexa app under your device's settings.
This update addresses user preferences for more control over how their AI assistant interacts, moving away from a one-size-fits-all approach to a more personalized experience.
