A New Opportunity for Creative Photographers
Photographers are invited to showcase their skills in the upcoming Decanter Wine Photography Competition 2026. This contest provides a platform to win one of Sony’s highly regarded APS-C cameras, the A6700, and secure features in both print and digital publications.
Creative Brief and Categories
The competition encourages participants to move beyond traditional vineyard photography. The scope is wide, welcoming lifestyle shots, imaginative compositions, and abstract takes on the subject of wine. Entries are accepted in the following categories:
- Wine landscapes
- The enjoyment of wine
- Wine in the bottle, and/or glass
- Abstract/creative
The submission window runs from June 1 to August 31. Please note that the competition is exclusively open to residents of the UK and the US, with a limit of one entry per category.
Prizes and Professional Exposure
A panel of experts will select a winner and two runners-up for each category, eventually crowning one overall champion. Beyond the top prizes, selected works will be displayed in Decanter magazine and on their digital platforms, providing significant professional visibility for the photographers.
The headline prize is a Sony A6700 camera kit, including the E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II lens, valued at approximately $1,598 / £1,449.
