Uber is set to transform urban travel with the planned launch of its Uber Air flying taxi service in Dubai by 2026. This initiative, developed in partnership with Joby Aviation, will introduce electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed to soar above city traffic.

The sleek, futuristic design of the taxis resembles a cross between a small plane and a modern helicopter. Featuring six quiet electric rotors and a streamlined body, the vehicles are built to be both stylish and environmentally friendly. The cabin accommodates up to four passengers in a premium, comfortable interior with large windows for panoramic city views.

Following the initial debut in Dubai, Uber Air plans to expand services to the United States, with potential operations around major events like the Los Angeles Olympics. The service promises to combine efficiency with a luxury travel experience, marking a significant step towards the future of urban air mobility.
