SpaceX concluded its Starlink satellite launch activities for February 2026 with a series of three Falcon 9 missions this week.
The first launch occurred on Tuesday, February 24th, from Cape Canaveral, Florida, placing 29 satellites into orbit. A second launch followed on Wednesday from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, deploying 25 more units. The week's final launch took place on Friday, again from Cape Canaveral, sending an additional 29 satellites to join the constellation.
All three missions successfully deployed their payloads and featured the recovery of the Falcon 9 first-stage boosters on drone ships in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. These launches brought the total number of operational Starlink satellites in orbit to over 9,850, expanding the global broadband internet network.
The Starlink service aims to provide internet connectivity to remote and underserved areas worldwide, while also supporting cellular and in-flight wifi services.
