Achievement list finalized

Playground Games has officially confirmed that the trophy and achievement list for the upcoming Fable title is complete. However, the studio is choosing to keep the specific objectives under wraps for the time being.

Keeping the mystery alive

During a press Q&A session at Gamescom, associate game directors Craig Littler and Will Kennedy addressed questions regarding the game's completion requirements and the potential for a humorous achievement list, which has been a staple of the franchise in the past. Despite confirming that the list is set, the team is hesitant to share specifics.

«We'll say that we have the list, but we're not going to spoil the surprise,» noted Littler.

A balanced approach to completion

With Fable positioned as an expansive open-world RPG, players are expected to immerse themselves in a 15–20 hour main narrative while engaging with a vast cast of over 1,000 unique NPCs. Naturally, fans are concerned about the effort required to reach 100% completion.

When asked if obtaining all achievements would necessitate multiple playthroughs, Kennedy reassured fans that it is definitely an achievable goal. Littler added a humorous guarantee regarding the time investment:

«I will promise you, you won't have to do [something like] 30,000 playthroughs. We'll commit to that.»

While the exact duration required to hit 100% remains undisclosed, the developers' comments suggest a design philosophy that respects the player's time. Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC, with the Xbox Series X version supporting a 60fps performance mode.
