According to George Yianni, Head of R&D at Hue Connected, the current infrastructure relies on internal templating, which often limits the complexity of lighting setups. He noted that previous iterations struggled with scenarios requiring multiple accessories to interact or complex combinations of timing and conditions. Yianni stated:

«All of those restrictions go away with the new engine.»
