New Cosmetics Arrive in OCTOPinbs
The firefighting social deduction title OCTOPinbs, developed through a collaboration between tri-Ace, Lasengle, and Aniplex, has released its latest content update. The DLC4 pack introduces a variety of cosmetic items, including three distinct outfits and five unique emotes for the game's cephalopod protagonists. These additions are available at no extra cost to current owners, maintaining the game's tradition of regular post-launch support on PC.
Outfit Options and Communication Tools
The new wardrobe additions offer players several ways to customize their characters for different gameplay situations:
- Flapjack Octopus Set: Designed to inject a playful aesthetic into the hectic firefighting gameplay.
- Tailored Suit: Provides a sophisticated look for players who prefer to hunt for impostors with professional flair.
- Eastern Octoarmor: A specialized, intimidating gear set optimized for intense PvP encounters.
In addition to the attire, five new emotes have been integrated into the game. These are specifically crafted to assist players in coordinating efforts and conveying information more effectively while navigating hazardous, fire-stricken environments.
Gameplay and Steam Fest Promotion
OCTOPinbs challenges groups of three to ten players to perform a dual-objective mission: extinguishing rapidly spreading flames while attempting to identify the hidden 'Artist' among the crew. If a player acts suspiciously, others can use the 'Octojar' to isolate them and expose their identity. However, the dynamics can shift rapidly, as the saboteur may abandon stealth to initiate a direct PvP confrontation.
For those interested in joining the action, the game is currently available on Steam with a 30% discount as part of the Social Deduction Fest, which concludes on July 24. The title offers multi-language support, including English, Japanese, German, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese, with frequent community events held by the developers to showcase the game's mechanics.
