Netflix will stop working on a range of older devices starting March 2, 2026, impacting an estimated 87 million or more subscribers. The streaming service is ending support for its app on the PlayStation 3, first launched in 2006, as well as on various smart TVs and set-top boxes that are over ten years old.

Users have reported seeing on-screen warnings stating, "Unfortunately, Netflix will no longer be available on this device after March 2, 2026." Affected devices include the BT TV Box (Z4) and BT TV Recordable Box (G4). The PS3 was the last seventh-generation console to officially support Netflix, while newer consoles like the PS4 and PS5 are unaffected.

For those impacted, most modern smart TVs will support Netflix, and affordable streaming sticks offer a viable upgrade path from the aging hardware.
