New Features in the 'Blob-Life' Update

Digital Sun has released the second major content expansion for Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. Following the March 'Greed & Glory' update, this latest patch, titled 'Blob-Life', focuses on both aesthetic charm and challenging gameplay mechanics to refine the early access experience.

Meet Your New Bloblet Companions

A highlight of this update is the introduction of Bloblets. Players can encounter these creatures during treasure expeditions and adopt them using a newly implemented currency. Beyond their cute appearance, these companions offer tangible benefits to your business. Once settled in your shop, they can be outfitted with stylish gear and will provide bonuses, such as increased item values and larger tip payouts. Furthermore, the game now features a dedicated Pet Seller vendor and allows for shop expansions up to level 4.

Combat Enhancements and 'Very Hard' Mode

For those seeking a greater test of skill, the developers have introduced a 'Very Hard' difficulty setting. To help players survive these tougher encounters, the update adds a variety of new weapons and a specialized Poison Path. According to the developers, this new combat style introduces a stacking damage mechanic:

“The longer Poison eats away at your foes, the damage you can do against them will stack more and more!”

Future Roadmap and Official Release

The update also advances the narrative with the addition of the sixth Vault challenge. Players can expect the conclusion of the story arc in the upcoming seventh challenge. Based on the developer's current roadmap, this next major milestone will mark the transition of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault from early access to its full 1.0 launch. The final game is slated for release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch 2. The 'Blob-Life' update is currently available for those participating in the Steam early access program.
