New marketing emails from Sony have ignited widespread anticipation among gamers, suggesting that news about 'Grand Theft Auto 6' is on the horizon. The rumors began last week when fans started sharing messages from Sony encouraging them to upgrade from a PlayStation 4 to a PlayStation 5.

The email reportedly stated, "Grand Theft Auto 6 is on your wishlist. Get a PlayStation 5 today to be ready for when Grand Theft Auto 6 launches on November 19, 2026." Sony is sending these messages to users who don't own a PS5 and have the game wishlisted on the PlayStation Store.

Gamers interpret this as confirmation that more information about 'GTA 6' could be released soon, given Sony's marketing partnership with Rockstar Games, the developer. The mention of the November 19 release date appears to clarify that there will be no further delays, after an initial planned release of May 26.

Fans also noticed that Sony removed the "Just Announced" tag from 'GTA 6' on its PlayStation Store, which many see as a sign that preorders may become available soon. According to Rockstar's parent company, Take Two, marketing for the game is set to begin this summer ahead of its fall release.

In February, Take Two confirmed the November 19 date during an earnings call, with CEO Strauss Zelnick expressing confidence in the timeline. The last trailer for 'GTA 6' was released on May 6 of last year, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the next update.
