Revolutionizing Drone Operation with Wearables

Antigravity, the innovative drone brand supported by Insta360, has introduced a new accessory kit for its flagship A1 model. Since its debut in late 2025, the A1 has been recognized as the first 8K 360-degree drone, offering users the unique ability to record their surroundings completely and refine framing during post-production.

Previously, operating the A1 required FPV goggles and a specialized Grip controller—a setup that often felt complex for casual users interested in capturing simple outdoor activities like running or cycling. The new Follow Me Bundle aims to simplify this experience significantly.

Intuitive Hand Gesture Controls

The core of the upgrade lies in two new wearable devices:

  • Watch Remote: Serves as the primary hub featuring a 1.72-inch touchscreen. It allows users to execute take-offs, landings, adjust flight paths, and toggle between tracking modes.
  • Ring Remote: Enables a unique 'Drag-to-Fly' function. By holding a button on the ring, users can literally 'grab' the drone in mid-air, moving it precisely by shifting their hand or twisting their wrist.

Enhanced Tracking and Cinematic Features

The system integrates an upgraded Deep Track technology, which merges visual tracking with GNSS positioning from the Watch Remote. According to the company, this ensures that the drone maintains a solid lock on the target even during rapid movement or when visual contact is briefly blocked by obstacles like trees. The A1 is now capable of tracking subjects moving at speeds up to 22mph.

Furthermore, a new 'Wave to Track' gesture allows users to quickly initiate tracking by simply raising a hand above their head. For those seeking a professional look, the 'Sky Genie' feature provides automated cinematic maneuvers, including Orbit, Fly Away, and Spiral Ascent, all controlled directly from the wrist.

Safety and Availability

To prioritize safety, the bundle includes Full-Coverage Propeller Guards designed to work in tandem with the drone's omnidirectional obstacle-avoidance system. With these safety components and a high-capacity battery, the total weight of the unit reaches 351g, providing up to 23 minutes of flight time. Both wearables are rated IP67 for water resistance and boast over five hours of battery life.

The Follow Me Bundle, which includes the A1 drone, will be available starting October 20, 2026, for $799 (£639 / €719 / AU$1,159). Current A1 owners have the option to purchase the accessory kit separately for $339.99, with an additional 20% discount available to them.
