The new interface splits the locations menu into two distinct categories:
- Recommended: This view prioritizes efficiency by displaying frequently used servers, popular country options, and your dedicated IP address if configured.
- Advanced: This section houses specialized features, specifically Static IP servers and the Multi Hop tool.
The Multi Hop feature serves as Surfshark's double VPN solution, routing internet traffic through two separate servers for added security. Meanwhile, Static IP options provide a consistent address, which is particularly useful for platforms that flag users for frequent IP changes.
Browser Extension Facelift
The browser extension has undergone an even more extensive visual transformation. The primary dashboard now provides immediate visibility into the number of trackers and advertisements blocked on the current webpage. Furthermore, it consolidates essential security tools into one unified space, including:
- Ad and cookie pop-up blockers
- Malicious site alerts
- Data leak notifications
- Email scam detection
