An Immersive Spider-Man Experience
Samsung is set to elevate the movie-going experience this summer through a unique collaboration with Sony for the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. By introducing the 'Spidey Tracker,' a digital tool powered by Galaxy technology, the tech giant aims to extend the film's narrative into the real world, allowing fans to follow the hero's journey in real time.
Starting June 17, the interactive campaign will become accessible to users across 35 countries. The project, which features an app reportedly developed by the character Ned Leeds, encourages fans to discover hidden easter eggs, watch exclusive interviews, and keep track of Spider-Man sightings.
«Spider-Man has always been a hero defined by his connection to his community. Teaming up with Samsung helped bring that spirit to life both on screen and beyond, integrating the technology people use every day into Spider-Man's world,» noted Jeffrey Godsick, executive vice president of Global Partnerships at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Galaxy Devices in the Spotlight
The collaboration highlights the integration of Samsung’s flagship devices within the film's universe. Viewers will notice characters utilizing the portability and versatility of the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, along with the connectivity of the Galaxy Watch. Specifically, the movie features the Galaxy Z Fold 7, showcasing its durability and design improvements, such as the refined hinge capable of withstanding extensive folding cycles.
Beyond the film, Samsung’s latest wearables are also being positioned as essential tools for the user. Recent iterations of the Galaxy Watch have gained attention for their advanced health-tracking capabilities, which can provide critical insights into a user's wellbeing.
Connecting Fans to the Hero
As the July 31 theatrical release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day approaches, fans are encouraged to visit the official Spidey Tracker website to start their own journey. The campaign promises a blend of social media-style engagement—reminiscent of features found in modern Spider-Man video games—and real-world activations. Samsung has even teased the possibility of surprise character appearances at various Experience Stores, further blurring the lines between fiction and the Samsung ecosystem.
