Innovative AI Wearable for Professionals

Plaud has officially opened pre-orders for the Plaud One Explorer Edition, a sophisticated wearable AI device tailored for professionals. The product aims to streamline the workday by capturing in-person conversations and phone calls, then transcribing and summarizing them to eliminate the need for manual note-taking.

Agentic Features and Future Updates

While the hardware is designed to integrate with platforms like Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack, the company noted that its most advanced Plaud Intelligence agent capabilities will be rolled out via future software updates. At launch, users will be able to interact with the device by pressing a dedicated button, while hands-free “Hey Plaud” voice activation is slated for a subsequent firmware release.

Privacy and Manual Control

Privacy remains a central theme for the new device. Recording is strictly manually triggered, and the company emphasizes that the responsibility for obtaining consent lies with the user. Regarding potential concerns over the AI taking unauthorized actions, the development team stated:

“All higher-stakes actions — changing or deleting internal files, sending an email externally, or calling external data — require the user to approve them manually. Nothing high-stakes acts on its own.”

The system is designed to allow the agent to manage internal data queries autonomously while keeping the user firmly in the driver’s seat for any external interactions or sensitive modifications.

Seamless Connectivity and Data Ownership

A notable feature of the Plaud One is its independence from a smartphone. The device includes built-in 4G LTE connectivity via an eSIM provided at no additional cost. Furthermore, Plaud stresses that users maintain full ownership and control over their data, with options to access, correct, export, or delete information through the official app at any time.

Pricing and Availability

The Explorer Edition is currently priced at $249.99 / £229. Each purchase includes $200 / £150 in Plaud credits, which will be utilized for advanced agent tasks, Skills, and Plugins. While the company has not yet detailed the pricing structure for ongoing credit usage, they confirmed that core functionality works “out of the box.” Shipping for the pre-order units is anticipated to begin in Q4 2026.
