A Blast from the Past

For over a decade, PC players of Saints Row 2 were left in the cold regarding additional content. Back in 2009, Volition released three distinct DLC packs: Ultor Exposed, Corporate Warfare, and the Unkut Pack. These expansions introduced new story missions revolving around the takedown of the villainous Ultor Corporation, alongside an array of vehicles, clothing items, hairstyles, and customization options.

At the time, this content was restricted solely to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. PC gamers who had purchased the Windows port were not only saddled with a significantly buggier experience compared to their console counterparts, but they were also completely denied access to this extra content.

The Community Steps In

The situation has finally changed thanks to the dedicated team behind the Juiced Patch—a project famous for resolving many of the technical flaws inherent in the original PC port. The team has successfully compiled all single-player components of the 2009 DLC packs into a single, functional mod for PC players.

While the original DLC also included multiplayer components, the modding team has prioritized the single-player experience for now, noting that multiplayer support «might come at a later date.» Crucially, the newly implemented missions fully support cooperative play.

Technical Improvements and Installation

Beyond simply porting the content, the modding team has polished the experience. According to the developers, the mod

«has fixes for oversights with the original DLC such as arc-based unlocks being instantly received or issues with the vehicles that were never noticed, and more.»

If you are looking to revisit Stilwater with these additions, there are a few requirements:

  • A clean save file is highly recommended.
  • The Juiced Patch version 9.0.0 or higher is required.
  • The mod is currently incompatible with other major overhauls like Gentlemen of the Row.

To install, users must download the PC DLC files and extract them directly into the Saints Row 2 root directory. It is a massive win for fans who have waited years to experience the complete version of this open-world classic on their preferred platform.
