The Google Pixel 10a, launched on February 18, 2026, appears nearly identical to its predecessor, the Pixel 9a. It retains the same design, display, Tensor G4 chipset, camera system, and 5,100 mAh battery. However, the most significant hardware improvement for this model is its charging capability.
The Pixel 10a now supports up to 30W wired charging, a notable increase from the 23W on the Pixel 9a. While not matching some competitors, this upgrade should reduce charging times. Google claims the phone can reach 50% battery in about 30 minutes with a compatible 45W charger.
Wireless charging has also been enhanced, moving from 7.5W to 10W Qi-certified charging. This marks the third consecutive year Google has boosted charging speeds for its A-series phones. The improvements, though incremental, will be noticeable for daily users.
Despite these upgrades, the Pixel 10a does not feature the newer Qi2 magnetic wireless charging standard found in other Pixel 10 models, requiring a magnetic case for a similar accessory experience.
